Henbury will be the northern terminus of the future service from Bristol Temple Meads. New stations at Henbury and North Filton, along with associated infrastructure works, form part of Phase 2 of the MetroWest programme. There will be an hourly service provided by Great Western Railway.

The location of the new Henbury station is currrently undecided, with equal numbers favouring option A and option B (see map below).
