The proposed Devizes Parkway station is one of the successful bids in the first round of the Department for Transport’s Restoring Your Railway Fund. The proposal is for a station with parking for 400 cars.

The promoter is TransWilts CIC, and the proposed station location is Lydeway, between Westbury and Pewsey stations on the Berks and Hants line operated by Great Western Railway.

Devizes is the largest town in Wiltshire without a station. The proposal is for a Parkway station at Lydeway on the A360 [A342 – see map below] 6Km south of Devizes. Introduction of a stopping London – Taunton service on the Berks & Hants line to serve Bedwyn, Devizes, Westbury and Frome would transform mid Wiltshire’ population connectivity.
